Mahindra’s Vision S is undergoing testing, gradually revealing its design characteristics as days pass by, which define what the production-ready model might actually look like and what it will feature. Recent sightings indicate that the Vision S will boast a unique design language, distinct from the current lineup of vehicles in Mahindra’s product portfolio.
What quickly catches the attention of a passerby is its resolutely neo-retro silhouette. Unlike the sub-4-metre SUVs that currently incorporate a coupe design, the Vision S seems to hold an upright stance. The vehicle also looks to offer a commanding seating position and high ground clearance. The fascia also seems to integrate an aerodynamic grille with slats to give it a unique look.
Speaking of the fascia, the headlights feature a round construction with what possibly seems to hold C-shaped DRLs, which gives it a much more SUV-like appearance unique to Mahindra. Towards the sides, the vehicle is expected to feature slightly squared-off wheel arches; this is stated with reference to the recent spy shots, which clearly reveal the design elements.

The Interior | What Will The Cabin Look Like?
Coming to the cabin space, Mahindra is working towards incorporating a new dashboard design with minimal reference to other solutions currently on offer. The Vision S is expected to come with a more utilitarian and practical interior design approach that makes it ideal for day-to-day use. With that being stated, the cabin can come with a dual-screen layout, heavy-duty toggle switchgear, and a terrain-mode selector (if the vehicle is off-road oriented), among other things.
With higher trims, customers can expect a panoramic glass roof (or at least a sunroof), wireless charging pad, and ventilated front seats, among other features. As the Vision S will be a premium lifestyle vehicle, these features are definitely expected to be offered.
Conclusion | When Is The Launch?
The Mahindra Vision S, which is expected to come in internal combustion engine and all-electric forms, could make its first production-ready appearance by the end of 2026. If everything aligns seamlessly with the vehicle completing the testing phase soon, the Vision S could reach showrooms as soon as 2027. When it arrives, it will take on the popular Tata Nexon EV, the upcoming Renault Bridger EV, and other cars in the sub-4-metre segment. All in all, the launch of this SUV will be an exciting one.
