VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, has confirmed that it will be launching its third model, the seven-seater Limo Green MPV, in India by February 2026. This launch will be a strategic move as the brand tries to extend its portfolio beyond the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs.
February Launch Set
The Limo Green MPV will be VinFast’s third lineup in the Indian market, following its two electric SUVs. This launch is part of the company’s well-planned roadmap, according to which it should introduce a new model into the rapidly growing Indian EV space every six months. It is also a direct fit for the family-and-fleet segment since it seats up to seven occupants.
Key EV Powertrain
The design of Limo Green aligns with high practicality, coupled with a long-range EV. An international specification model features a huge battery pack and a powerful front-axle motor, which could efficiently transport nearly any family over long distances or perform high-utility duties for fleets.
| Specification | Detail (Vietnam-Spec) |
| Battery Capacity | 60.13 kWh |
| Claimed Range (NEDC) | 450 km |
| Max Power | 201 hp (approx. 150 kW) |
| Torque | 280 Nm |
| DC Fast Charging | 80 kW (10-70% in 30 minutes) |
Focus on Fleet
A vital aspect of India’s strategy for Limo Green is that they are directly linked to the ridesharing service of VinFast-Green and Smart Mobility (GSM). The MPV will make up the backbone of the GSM fleet, which owns its fleet entirely of electric vehicles. India will be the fifth market outside the world where VinFast can quickly register volumes and make itself known with captive customers.
The electric MPV gets a conventional profile that prioritises passenger comfort and spacious cabins, larger in dimensions than key competitors. Its interior configuration is practical, accommodating seven people in three rows.
Segment and Rivals
The Limo Green will be positioned as a long-range, sensible electric MPV to enter a highly competitive yet niche market. Limo Green’s primary rivals will be other electric MPVs launching in the market, such as the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7. The success of the Limo Green will hinge on the mix of seven-adult seating, usable range, and competitive pricing.
