Tata Motors launched the 2026 Tata Tiago EV in India recently. It is now one of the most affordable electric hatchbacks in the Indian market, and feels far more modern and premium than before.
The new facelifted Tiago EV now gets a more stylish design, better comfort, more safety and faster charging technology, with all other features previously seen only on more expensive Tata models.
Cosmetic Features

The 2026 Tiago EV now gets Lux Beam LED headlamps, LED DRLs and connected Halo Lightbar taillamps, which give it a much stronger road presence. The top-end Creative+ variant with a 24kWh battery pack is the most loaded one, and comes with a lot of features. Here’s the complete list:

Interior And Comfort Features

Infotainment And Connected Tech

One of the biggest upgrades comes in terms of the infotainment system. The Tiago EV now gets a larger 26.03 cm floating-type touchscreen display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Other connected tech features include Smartwatch connectivity, iRA.ev connected car tech, steering-mounted controls, 65W Type-C charging ports and electrically adjustable and autofold ORVMs. The new Tata electric car also gets a cooled glovebox, an electric tailgate release and many utility spaces throughout the cabin, for more convenience.
Safety Features

In terms of safety, Tata has absolutely loaded the car to its limit. The six airbags are now offered as standard across all variants, which makes the car a heck lot safer. While the lower variants get only the most essential safety features, the higher-spec ones, are absolutely loaded with safety, and come with features from segment-above cars. Here’s the list:

Charging And Battery Features
The Tiago EV is still offered with the 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs, the same as before. But the brand has upgraded its architecture and improved charging speed significantly. It now claims that the updated Tiago EV can now add 100 km worth of range in just 18 minutes with a 30 kW DC fast charger, which is a lot more convenient for city users.

Our Opinion
The 2026 Tiago EV is no longer just an affordable electric hatchback but an aspirational and feature-loaded city car. With premium tech, more safety equipment and a plush cabin experience, the updated Tiago EV now feels a step above its segment and is genuinely capable of competing with more expensive cars like the Tata Punch EV, the MG Comet EV, and the Citroen eC3.
