Volvo EC40 Variants Explained
Volvo keeps things simple in India, selling the EC40 in a single Ultra trim with the Twin Motor AWD powertrain. As a result, every buyer gets the same performance, battery and full feature list. Volvo first launched this car in India in September 2023 as the C40 Recharge, before renaming it the EC40. Today, it costs Rs 59 lakh, slightly less than its launch price.

What the EC40 Misses
Despite its price, the EC40 skips a few features buyers might expect. It doesn’t get ventilated or massage seats, and its glass roof doesn’t open. It also misses a head-up display, rear-seat screens and three-zone climate control. Moreover, most controls sit inside the touchscreen, which some buyers find fiddly while driving.
