Features on the VF6 Earth
The Earth comes well equipped for a base model. Inside, a driver-facing 12.9-inch touchscreen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, it gets automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a 6-way powered driver seat and a bezel-less auto-dimming IRVM. Outside, LED projector headlamps with auto-levelling and machine-cut alloys come standard. Rear passengers also get a fast 90W USB Type-C port.
Strong Safety From the Base Model
Safety is where the Earth really impresses. For example, every VF6 gets 7 airbags, ESC, traction control, hill start assist and tyre pressure monitoring. Moreover, a 360-degree camera and blind spot detection come standard, which few rivals offer on their base trims. An electronic parking brake with auto hold also makes city driving easier.
What the Earth Misses
To keep the price lower, the Earth skips a few comfort features. Most notably, it doesn’t get ventilated seats, a head-up display, a wireless charger or dual-zone climate control. It also lacks the full Level 2 ADAS suite and the panoramic glass roof. Importantly, since the VF6 has no separate instrument cluster, the Earth shows your speed only on the central screen.
Performance and Range
The Earth’s 174 bhp motor feels smooth and quick enough for city traffic and highway cruising. While it’s slower than the Wind trims, it rewards you with the VF6’s longest range at 468 km. In real-world driving, expect roughly 360 to 380 km per charge. Moreover, a DC fast charger adds 10 to 70% in about 25 minutes.
Earth or Wind?
The VF6 Wind costs about Rs 1.4 lakh more and adds 27 bhp, ventilated seats, a head-up display and ADAS. Therefore, highway drivers and families in hot cities may find the Wind worth the extra money.
