A Better Rear-Seat Experience
The Windsor already offers one of the best rear seats in its class, and the Indulge Edition takes it further. To begin with, the Aero-Lounge seats recline up to 135 degrees, so passengers can relax on long drives. On top of that, the new PRIVE screen hangs from the roof, letting rear occupants watch content without craning their necks. In addition, themed cushions and neck pillows add extra comfort. Together, these touches make it ideal for parents, elderly family members or anyone with a driver.
Features Carried Over From the Essence
Since it’s based on the Essence, the Indulge Edition keeps all of its premium features. For example, the Infinity View glass roof and ventilated front seats come included. Likewise, it gets the 15.6-inch GrandView touchscreen, 9-speaker Infinity audio and 256-colour ambient lighting. Practical features like the 360-degree camera, wireless charger and six airbags also carry over.
What Stays the Same
Mechanically, the Indulge Edition is identical to the regular Essence. It uses the same 38 kWh battery, the same 134 bhp front motor and the same 332 km claimed range. As a result, real-world range should stay around 250 to 270 km. It also doesn’t get Level 2 ADAS, which remains exclusive to the Essence Pro.
Is the Indulge Edition Worth the Premium?
The Indulge Edition costs about Rs 89,000 more than the Essence. For that money, you mainly get the rear screen, a unique colour scheme and themed comfort accessories. Interestingly, its price almost matches the Exclusive Pro, which offers 449 km of range instead. Therefore, pick the Indulge Edition if rear-seat comfort and exclusivity matter most. However, choose the Exclusive Pro if you need longer range. Compare all trims on the Windsor EV variants page, or check city prices on the Windsor EV price page.
What's good
-
Business Class Comfort: Those reclining rear seats are the best in the segment.
-
Tech Overload: The 15.6-inch screen and glass roof feel very “Tesla-like.”
-
Practicality: Massive boot and class-leading legroom.
-
BaaS Option: Makes the initial purchase price much more accessible.
What's not so good
-
Form over Function: Lack of physical buttons is frustrating.
-
Polarizing Looks: The MPV-ish silhouette isn’t for everyone.
-
Soft Handling: Not for those who enjoy a spirited, “planted” drive.
