The Porsche Macan GTS Electric debuts, offering 563 hp with overboost, 586 km WLTP range, and a 3.6-second 0-100 kmph time.
Porsche has unveiled the first-ever all-electric Macan GTS, a high-performance addition to its electric Macan range. The unveiling of the model took place recently when the car was shown to the public. The car will no longer be available as an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) model worldwide by 2026, with the ICE version already pulled from the market in the EU. The aim is to bring the high-performance GTS badge to the electric future, sitting in the segment between the Macan 4S and the premium Macan Turbo.
New Electric Power
The heart of the Macan GTS Electric is the dual-motor system, consisting of one electric motor on the front axle and the other on the rear. This gives the car an all-wheel-drive capability. With Overboost activated, the electric motors together produce the maximum output of 563 horsepower and a colossal 954 Nm of torque, thus being recognised as the most powerful of the Macan variants.
Impressive Speed Stats
Porsche Macan GTS, being a high-performance EV, does provide exhilarating acceleration along with a high top speed.
- Acceleration: The electric GTS is so quick that it can run from a complete stop to 100 kmph in only 3.6 seconds.
- Top Speed: The vehicle’s highest speed is rated at 249 kmph.
- Motor Power: The power trained under the GTS clearly places it above the Macan 4S (509 hp, 3.9 seconds) and just below the flagship Macan Turbo (630 hp, 3.1 seconds).
Long Driving Range
One of the major attractions of the Macan GTS is its long range. It will be able to cover a maximum distance of 586 km on WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) charging, according to the procedure. Such a long range, together with the performance, makes it a perfect candidate for both daily commuting and long road trips.
GTS Style Details
The Macan GTS Electric gets separate styling colours to be distinct. The car has larger rocker panels, and 21-inch wheels are fitted as standard, but can be replaced with 22-inch Anthracite Grey wheels at an extra cost. The new colours, such as Lugano Blue, Carmine Red, and Chalk, have joined the older ones in the colour selection.
Cabin Customisation
Continuing with the Porsche tradition of offering personalisation, a new GTS Interior Package is introduced. The package consists of contrast stitching that can be made to match the exterior colour (in selected shades) and the GTS logo displayed prominently on both the steering wheel and the instrument cluster. This interior upgrade can only be bought together with the car’s carbon fibre interior trim, thus imparting an exclusive, sporty feel to the cabin.
