Porsche Taycan Features: Exterior
The Taycan’s low, wide stance and sloping roofline give it a true sports-car look. Up front, Matrix LED headlights with four-point DRLs and PDLS Plus adaptive lighting light up the road. At the back, a full-width LED light bar and 3D Porsche lettering stand out. Moreover, frameless doors and flush door handles keep the body sleek. Porsche Active Aerodynamics adjusts cooling flaps and the rear spoiler to boost efficiency and stability.
Taycan Cabin and Seats
The cabin wraps around the driver, with a Porsche multifunction sports steering wheel and a steering-mounted drive mode selector. The front seats adjust electrically and come heated as standard. The Taycan seats four in individual seats, with an optional middle rear seat for a fifth passenger. Buyers can also add ventilated and massaging front seats, plus 18-way adaptive sports seats. In addition, leather-free Race-Tex and Pepita fabric options suit buyers who prefer sustainable materials.
Porsche Taycan: Infotainment and Tech
The Porsche Driver Experience cockpit combines a curved 16.8-inch digital cluster, a 10.9-inch central touchscreen and an 8.4-inch lower touchscreen for climate controls. A matching 10.9-inch passenger display is optional. Meanwhile, Porsche Voice Pilot understands natural voice commands, and wireless Apple CarPlay comes standard. The Porsche Charging Planner also plans routes with charging stops. Sound comes from a Bose system on the Turbo, with a Burmester 3D system available as an upgrade.
Driving Tech and Chassis
Every Taycan gets adaptive air suspension with PASM dampers and a Smart Lift function that remembers where to raise the car, such as speed breakers. The Turbo adds rear-axle steering and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus for sharper handling. Buyers can also choose Porsche Active Ride, which keeps the body almost flat through corners. On top of that, Launch Control and an optional Porsche Electric Sport Sound add drama.
Taycan Convenience Features
Two-zone climate control and remote pre-conditioning through the My Porsche app come standard. The Taycan also gets charging ports on both sides, making it easier to park at any charger. Additionally, wireless charging, USB-C ports and an electric boot lid add everyday convenience. Buyers can upgrade to four-zone climate control, soft-close doors and Comfort Access.
Porsche Taycan: Safety and ADAS
The Taycan gets front, side and curtain airbags, with rear side airbags as an option. Standard driver aids include automatic emergency braking, Lane Keeping Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition. Front and rear ParkAssist with a reversing camera also come standard. However, adaptive cruise control, Porsche InnoDrive and a surround-view camera cost extra.
Before You Buy the Taycan
Keep in mind that many comfort features are optional on the Taycan, unlike on most luxury EVs. Ventilated seats, massage, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera can add significantly to the price. Therefore, check your car’s exact specification carefully.
