Built for Range-First Buyers
The Exclusive Pro makes the most sense when distance matters more than comfort extras. In real-world driving, it should cover roughly 340 to 360 km per charge. As a result, trips like Bengaluru to Mysuru and back, or Pune to Mumbai and back, become possible without a charging stop. Moreover, it supports faster 60 kW DC charging, so it reaches 80% from 20% in about 50 minutes during longer journeys.
Features You Get
The Exclusive Pro shares most of its features with the regular Exclusive. For example, the large 15.6-inch GrandView touchscreen and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay handle navigation and music. Next, a 360-degree camera makes parking easy, and a wireless charger keeps your phone topped up. Inside, leatherette upholstery and a 6-way powered driver seat add comfort. Outside, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels give it a sharp look. Naturally, the reclining Aero-Lounge rear seats and six airbags come standard.
Features You Give Up
To keep the price below the Essence Pro, MG leaves out several comfort and safety items. Most notably, it skips the Infinity View glass roof and ventilated front seats. In addition, it misses Level 2 ADAS, 256-colour ambient lighting and a PM2.5 air filter. It also lacks V2L and V2V power sharing, which come only on the top model.
The Real Cost of the Bigger Battery
Compared with the regular Exclusive, the Exclusive Pro costs about Rs 1.90 lakh more. Since both share similar features, almost all of that extra money pays for range. Put simply, you pay roughly Rs 1,600 for each extra kilometre of claimed range. Therefore, it’s worth it only if you regularly drive beyond the 38 kWh version’s comfortable limit.
Exclusive Pro vs Essence vs Essence Pro
| Variant | Price (ex-showroom) | Range | Glass roof and cooled seats | ADAS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exclusive Pro | Rs 17.90 lakh | 449 km | – | – |
| Essence | Rs 17.00 lakh | 332 km | ✓ | – |
| Essence Pro | Rs 19.00 lakh | 449 km | ✓ | ✓ |
The Essence costs less but offers more comfort, while the Essence Pro adds everything for about Rs 1.10 lakh more. So, the Exclusive Pro fits a narrow but clear buyer: someone who needs 449 km of range on a tighter budget. What's good
-
Business Class Comfort: Those reclining rear seats are the best in the segment.
-
Tech Overload: The 15.6-inch screen and glass roof feel very “Tesla-like.”
-
Practicality: Massive boot and class-leading legroom.
-
BaaS Option: Makes the initial purchase price much more accessible.
What's not so good
-
Form over Function: Lack of physical buttons is frustrating.
-
Polarizing Looks: The MPV-ish silhouette isn’t for everyone.
-
Soft Handling: Not for those who enjoy a spirited, “planted” drive.
