Maruti Suzuki India Limited has made an electrifying announcement of the EV infrastructure roadmap along with the formal unveiling of its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara. The company has set a target to eliminate consumer worries regarding range anxiety and create “full ecosystem readiness” before the 2026 sales of the e-Vitara start. The plan includes installing a large network of charging points across the country.
Ambitious Charger Goal
Maruti Suzuki has presented a vision for the future that includes a huge network of charging stations, particularly intended for electric usage, which will be one of the largest in India. This step is aimed not only at the gradual electric model but also at maintaining a stronghold in the EV market by the end of the decade.

Initial Network Ready
Following its customer-oriented strategy, Maruti Suzuki has already set up a considerable number of charging stations, which are made available to the public through an integrated digital platform known as ‘e for me’. With this application, users can conveniently find chargers, get directions, and make payments.
e-Vitara SUV Specs
The e-Vitara is constructed on the new HEARTECT-e platform, making it Maruti Suzuki’s first exclusive electric SUV, and its availability is only through the premium Nexa outlets. It will come with two battery options to choose from.
