Range and Charging
The Long Range RWD’s 84 kWh battery claims up to 690 km, a big jump from the older 72.6 kWh version’s 631 km. In Indian real-world driving, expect roughly 500 to 550 km, enough for a Bengaluru to Chennai trip on one charge. Thanks to its 800V system, it supports DC charging at up to 350 kW. At home, an 11 kW wall box fully charges it overnight.
Space and Practicality
The Ioniq 5’s 3,000 mm wheelbase is longer than many bigger SUVs, giving rear passengers generous legroom. In addition, the flat floor and power-sliding rear seats make the cabin flexible. A 527-litre boot and 57-litre frunk offer plenty of storage. However, its 160 mm ground clearance calls for care over large speed breakers.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Long Range RWD Features
As the only version, it comes with every feature. It gets dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an 8-speaker Bose system. In addition, ventilated and heated relaxation front seats, heated rear seats and a Vision roof add comfort. Moreover, a hands-free power tailgate and V2L inside and outside, with up to 3.6 kW, add everyday convenience.
Safety and ADAS
The Ioniq 5 gets 6 airbags, ESC, a multi-collision brake and front, rear and side parking sensors.
