Both versions share most features, so the choice comes down to a few key areas. The Go uses a single battery, which frees up a larger 33.2-litre boot. Meanwhile, the Plus carries two battery packs and adds a TFT display, a Sport mode and a Boost function for quick overtakes. However, the second battery cuts its boot space to 27.2 litres.

Design and Lighting

The VX2 has a clean, family-friendly design with a long body. An LED projector headlamp leads the all-LED lighting, along with an LED position lamp, tail lamp and indicators. Moreover, a Follow Me Home function keeps the headlamp on briefly after you park, lighting your way in the dark. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, and an integrated grab rail helps the pillion.

Storage and Comfort

A wide, single-piece seat comfortably fits two adults. Moreover, a flat floorboard leaves room for bags or a gas cylinder. Beyond the main boot, a 6.1-litre front storage space holds small items, and a USB port keeps your phone charged. The removable batteries also mean you can charge at home, at work or anywhere with a regular socket.

A 4.3-inch display shows speed, battery level and range at a glance. Through Bluetooth, it offers turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts. Moreover, the Vida app lets you check the scooter remotely, view ride data and set geofencing alerts. If the scooter goes missing, remote immobilisation lets you disable it from your phone. In addition, OTA updates keep the software current.

Riding Aids

Among the Hero Vida VX2 features, the two-way throttle stands out. Twisting it forward accelerates as usual, while twisting it back adds regenerative braking or engages reverse when parked. As a result, slowing down and parking in tight spots both become easier. Meanwhile, the Plus adds a Boost function that delivers a short burst of extra power for overtaking.

Hero Vida VX2 Safety Features

The VX2 uses a front disc and a rear drum with a combined braking system. Moreover, a side-stand motor cut-off stops the scooter from moving off with the stand down. Crash and fall alerts notify your contacts if the scooter falls, while a stand alarm adds a reminder. In addition, the batteries carry an IP67 rating against dust and water.

Before You Buy

The Hero Vida VX2 features list covers the essentials well, but a few points matter. Its 4.3-inch screen is small, and it skips a touchscreen even on the Plus. Moreover, it uses a rear drum brake with no ABS. Meanwhile, the TVS Orbiter adds cruise control and a bigger boot, while the Ather Rizta S offers a larger display and a richer app.
