Hero Vida UBEX electric motorcycle, likely a production-ready roadster with premium specs (USD forks, belt drive), is teased for EICMA 2025 debut.
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility division, Vida, offered a brief glimpse of a new electric motorcycle concept, the UBEX, through a teaser. The teaser was shared by Hero Vida, the electric branch of Hero MotoCorp. It was quickly taken down after being posted on the company’s social media, before its official unveiling, which is set for the first week of November. The UBEX concept is going to be unveiled at EICMA 2025, Milan, Italy. The launch is part of the company’s effort to increase its electric mobility portfolio by the addition of a premium, possibly production-ready, model aimed at the progressively becoming more popular electric motorcycles segment.
EICMA Debut Plans
Hero MotoCorp’s and EICMA 2025 Show’s journey to the future is going to be a very impactful November event. The electric-powered company Vida has confirmed its electric bike concept for the public. Unlike the previous concepts of Vida Lynx (ADV) and Vida Acro (mini bike), the UBEX seems to be a much closer-to-production model.
Roadster Design Look
The teased silhouette makes the Vida UBEX resemble a Roadster or a Street Fighter motorbike. The key point is that the design features typical elements found on bikes aimed at the mass market, such as a saree guard, tyre hugger, and a single-piece seat. This combination of practical, production-ready components strongly suggests that the UBEX is nearing market launch.
Premium Componentry
The UBEX concept involves a wide range of high-quality components, indicating a premium market. The teaser highlights the following key parts that relate to the accurately identified componentry:
- Suspension: USD (Upside Down) telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock configuration.
- Brakes: Petal disc brakes are put on both the front and rear wheels.
- Drivetrain: A mid-mounted electric motor delivers power to the rear wheel through a belt drive mechanism.
- Wheels: Standard alloy wheels suitable for the street and handlebars.
Performance Expectations
Hero Vida has not disclosed any official specifications, but the UBEX is thought to be capable of performance metrics on par with a 200cc Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) motorcycle, which is currently being sold in India.
- Range: The riding range that is hoped for may be as high as 200 km on a single charge, which will be dependent on the final battery configuration.
- The UBEX is likely the product of a very effective partnership between Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles.
Launch Rivalry Ahead
Coming closer to production, the Vida UBEX has a near-production-ready appearance, and it is an indication that it might be introduced into the Indian market as early as 2026. This electric roadster will have direct competition with other electric motorcycles that will come, such as the highly anticipated Ola Roadster. Considering Hero’s well-established network and commitment to quality control, the Vida UBEX will be able to take a strong position in the newly formed high-performance EV motorcycle segment.
