The eMax 7’s 2,800 mm wheelbase frees up plenty of cabin space across all three rows. However, with all seats in use, the boot holds just 180 litres. Folding the third row opens up much more room for luggage.
BYD eMax 7 Battery and Range Specifications
Both batteries use BYD’s Blade LFP cells, known for strong safety and long life. The Premium’s 55.4 kWh pack claims 420 km, while the Superior’s 71.8 kWh pack claims 530 km, both on the NEDC cycle. In real-world driving, expect roughly 330 to 360 km from the Premium and 420 to 450 km from the Superior.
BYD eMax 7 Motor and Performance
A single front motor drives the eMax 7. The Premium makes 161 bhp, reaching 100 km/h in 10.1 seconds. Meanwhile, the Superior makes 201 bhp and does the same sprint in 8.6 seconds. Both produce 310 Nm of torque and offer Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes.

On a 7 kW home charger, both versions charge fully overnight. For highway trips, the Superior’s faster 115 kW charging cuts stop times noticeably.
BYD eMax 7 Suspension, Tyres and Brakes
The eMax 7 uses MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear setup, which helps ride comfort. It rides on 225/55 R17 tyres. In addition, it gets ventilated disc brakes at the front and disc brakes at the rear.
