The Atto 3 is a mid-size electric SUV with a long 2,720 mm wheelbase. As a result, it offers good rear-seat space for its size. In addition, its 175 mm ground clearance handles most Indian speed breakers comfortably.
BYD Atto 3 Battery and Range Specifications
Both Atto 3 batteries use BYD’s Blade LFP cells, known for strong safety and long life. The base Dynamic’s 49.92 kWh pack claims 468 km, while the Premium and Superior’s 60.48 kWh pack claims 521 km (ARAI). In real-world driving, expect roughly 330 to 370 km from the smaller battery and 380 to 420 km from the larger one.
BYD Atto 3 Motor and Performance
Every Atto 3 uses the same permanent magnet synchronous motor, producing 201 bhp and 310 Nm. With the larger battery, it reaches 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, which is quick for a family SUV. Drivers can choose Eco, Normal and Sport modes, along with two levels of regenerative braking.

For daily use, the 7.2 kW wall box charges the Atto 3 fully overnight. On highway trips, DC fast charging adds most of the charge in under an hour.
BYD Atto 3 Suspension, Tyres and Brakes
The Atto 3 uses MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear setup, which gives it one of the most comfortable rides in its segment. Lower variants ride on 215/60 R17 tyres, while the Superior gets 215/55 R18 tyres. In addition, it gets ventilated disc brakes at the front and disc brakes at the rear.
