Mahindra to Showcase XEV 7e at ‘Freedom NU’ Event Tomorrow; Launch Expected Late 2025

Mahindra’s upcoming three-row electric SUV, XEV 7e, has been spotted testing on the Indian roads lately. The launch is expected to happen late 2025, and the brand has indeed announced a “mega unveil event” for its EVs, which is scheduled for August 15, 2025. The event titled “Freedom NU” will take place in Mumbai.
About the “Freedom NU”
Mahindra’s upcoming event will be a major showcase, featuring four SUV prototypes. According to sources, they could include electric versions of:

- Scorpio
- Vision.T
- Vision.S
- Vision. X
- Vision.SXT
The brand will also disclose the versatile “Freedom NU” platform. This new architecture, which can accommodate both electric and ICE powertrains, seeks to produce up to 1.2 lakh units per year and will serve as the cornerstone for many of the brand’s future models.
Designed influenced by the XUV700
The camouflaged test photographs suggest that the design is based on the XUV700, but with EV-specific elements. The SUV will be based on Mahindra’s INGLO skateboard platform, with a blanked-off grille, split LED headlamps, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and connected LED light bars at the front and back.
