- The facelifted EV gets revised styling and new features
- Mechanical setup is expected to remain unchanged
Tata just unveiled the 2026 Tiago Facelift in India on its OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) website. The cheapest Tata EV now gets a noticeable cosmetic refresh along with a lot of feature additions and an expected price revision. The website also shows the car’s launch date to be May 28, 2026.
Visually, the Tata gets a sharper, more modern-looking front fascia than the currently outgoing model. The front end now houses redesigned LED headlamps, a revised bumper, and updated styling inspired by bigger Tata EVs, which give it a very elegant look. The alloy wheels have gotten a design refresh too, and look more futuristic. The rear end of the popular EV also got subtle changes, which include updated tail lamps.
While the overall silhouette of the car remains familiar to the current model, the designers have focused on giving it a cleaner look and, in this process, made it aerodynamically better as well. The website and the teaser also reveal a new mint green shade, which looks absolutely gorgeous and might be one of the signature paint schemes of the new 2026 Tata Tiago EV.

Inside the Tata Tiago EV, the cabin is expected to get a major feature upgrade. It is expected to get a better instrument console and infotainment system. The possibility of it getting a 360° camera is also unavoidable, as it is now seen in a lot of Tata Motors electric cars. The interior could also get more premium materials, and more convenience features, than before.
Mechanically, the new Tata Tiago is expected to get the same powertrains with the current 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs. The claimed ranges of the current model with these battery packs are 250 km, and 315 km, which could see an increase due to better optimisation. The electric motor is also expected to be carried over, but could get some minor tweaks, a more optimised tune, and better calibration.

Our Opinion
We think that the Tiago plays a very important role in the brand’s lineup, and is positioned in the market to target first-time EV and car buyers. The pricing of the 2026 Tata Tiago is expected to remain similar to the current model, but there could be a slight increase due to the possible feature additions. But, Tata being Tata, we also expect them to launch it with an introductory pricing offer.
