Range and Charging
With 86 km of claimed range, the V1 suits shorter daily routines. In real-world riding, expect roughly 65 to 75 km, depending on ride mode and load. As a result, a rider covering about 30 km a day can go two days between charges. Moreover, the small battery charges to 80% in about 2 hours 20 minutes, so even a quick evening top-up works well.
Battery Subscription Option
TVS offers the V1 with a Battery-as-a-Service plan, where you buy the scooter and pay separately for the battery over time. As a result, the upfront price drops to Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom Delhi, including PM e-Drive). This suits buyers who want a low entry price. However, the monthly battery payments add up over time, so compare the total cost with buying outright.
TVS Orbiter V1 Features
Despite its lower price, the V1 keeps every feature from the V2. It gets cruise control, Hill Hold Assist and forward and reverse parking assist. Moreover, a 5.5-inch colour LCD offers Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation. Safety features like crash and fall alerts and anti-theft alerts also come standard. In addition, the 14-inch front wheel and long 845 mm seat make it comfortable for two.
Should You Pick the V2 Instead?
For about Rs 12,000 more, the TVS Orbiter V2 adds 72 km of claimed range, almost doubling the V1’s figure. Therefore, riders with longer commutes should step up.
