This variant has everything the Nexon EV 45 lineup offers, with the #DARK theme on top. Outside, you get smart digital DRLs with a welcome and goodbye sequence, LED projector headlamps, front fog lamps with cornering, sequential indicators, a smart digital X factor, a centre position lamp with charging indicator, R16 alloy wheels, roof rails, electric ORVMs with autofold, an electric tailgate release, a hidden rear wiper, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, a spare wheel and a frunk for extra storage. The whole car has a #DARK themed exterior.

Inside, you get a #DARK themed interior, a voice assisted panoramic sunroof, driver and co-driver ventilated seats, leatherette seats, a 60:40 split rear seat, a rear centre armrest, a front armrest, rear AC vents, a cooled and illuminated glove box, a wireless smartphone charger, an auto dimming IRVM, multi mood ambient lighting (dashboard, front and rear doors), a rear window sunshade, an air purifier with AQI sensor and display, fully automatic climate control with express cooling and 45W Type C ports at the front and rear. You also get push button start, a smart digital shifter and a leatherette wrapped smart digital steering wheel.

For tech, it has a 31.24 cm cinematic touchscreen, a 26.03 cm digital cockpit with navigation maps, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay over WiFi. The JBL cinematic sound system has 4 speakers, 4 tweeters and 1 subwoofer, with AudioworX JBL audio modes. You also get the Arcade.ev app suite, iRA.ev connected car services with smart watch connectivity, and multiple voice assistants (Hey Tata, Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa). Paddle shifters control regenerative braking, and you get City, Eco and Sport drive modes.

For safety, you get six airbags, ESP with i-VBAC, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, disc brakes on all four wheels, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot view monitor, an HD camera based reverse park assist, front parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control, driver drowsiness detection and an SOS call button (available in select cities).

Tata Nexon EV Empowered Plus A 45 Dark Charging Features

It has a 6.6 kW on-board charger, a 7.2 kW AC fast charger and a 3.3 kW AC wall box, with a CCS2 charging port. You can also fast charge it at a 60 kW DC fast charger from 10 to 80% in 40 minutes. It also has V2L (vehicle-to-load), which powers your gadgets at up to 3 kVA, and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging, which charges another compatible EV at 5 kVA.

What This Variant Does Not Have

This is the top variant, so it misses very little. It does not have the red seats and red theme of the Empowered +A 45 Red #DARK. It also comes in only one colour, as the #DARK theme is fixed. The Medium Range battery is not available in this variant, as it is only offered with the 45 kWh pack.

This variant comes in one colour, the #DARK edition, which has a dark exterior and a dark interior. The Nexon EV’s regular colours (Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Ocean Blue, Pure Grey and Coorg Cloud) are not offered here.

Tata Nexon EV Empowered Plus A 45 Dark Warranty

The battery has a lifetime warranty with unlimited km for private individual customers on first registration. Here, “lifetime” means 15 years from the first registration date. From the second registration onwards, the battery warranty is 8 years or 1,60,000 km. The motor has 8 years or 1,60,000 km, and the vehicle has 3 years or 1,25,000 km, whichever is earlier.

Who Should Buy the Empowered Plus A 45 Dark?

This variant suits buyers who want the most loaded Nexon EV along with a bold all-black look. It works well if you want ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, V2L and the biggest screen, and don’t need other colour choices.
