This variant adds a lot of comfort and convenience on top of the Fearless 45. Outside, you get smart digital DRLs, LED projector headlamps, front fog lamps with cornering, sequential indicators, a smart digital X factor, a centre position lamp, R16 alloy wheels, roof rails, electric ORVMs with autofold, an electric tailgate release, a hidden rear wiper with washer and defogger, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps and a spare wheel.

Inside, you get a voice assisted electric sunroof, a smart digital shifter, a leatherette wrapped smart digital steering wheel, fully automatic climate control with express cooling, push button start, leatherette seats, a front armrest, a 60:40 split rear seat, a rear centre armrest, rear AC vents, a cooled and illuminated glove box, a wireless smartphone charger, an auto dimming IRVM, an air purifier and 45W Type C ports at the front and rear. Power windows work on all four doors, with one touch auto up and down for the driver.

For tech, it has a 26.03 cm cinematic touchscreen by HARMAN, a 26.03 cm digital cockpit with navigation maps, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay over WiFi. The sound system has 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, with AudioworX JBL audio modes. You also get iRA.ev connected car services with smart watch connectivity, and multiple voice assistants (Hey Tata, Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa). Paddle shifters control regenerative braking, and you get City, Eco and Sport drive modes.

For safety, you get six airbags, ESP with i-VBAC, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, disc brakes on all four wheels, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot view monitor, an HD camera based reverse park assist, front parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system and cruise control.

It has a 6.6 kW on-board charger and a 3.3 kW AC wall box, with a CCS2 charging port. You can also fast charge it at a 60 kW DC fast charger from 10 to 80% in 40 minutes.

What This Variant Does Not Have

Empowered 45 does not list a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, ventilated seats, V2L and V2V charging, a frunk, an SOS call button or a driver drowsiness detection system. The Empowered +A 45 adds a voice assisted panoramic sunroof, a 31.24 cm cinematic touchscreen, a JBL cinematic sound system with a subwoofer, Arcade.ev app suite, ventilated front seats, multi mood ambient lighting, a rear window sunshade and an air purifier with AQI display.

Tata Nexon EV Empowered 45 Colours

This variant comes in four colours: Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Ocean Blue and Pure Grey. All come with a black roof, which is available only in the Empowered and Fearless variants. Coorg Cloud is not offered.

Tata Nexon EV Empowered 45 Warranty

The battery has a lifetime warranty with unlimited km for private individual customers on first registration. Here, “lifetime” means 15 years from the first registration date. From the second registration onwards, the battery warranty is 8 years or 1,60,000 km. The motor has 8 years or 1,60,000 km, and the vehicle has 3 years or 1,25,000 km, whichever is earlier.

Who Should Buy the Empowered 45?

This variant suits buyers who want the 489 km range and a well-equipped cabin without paying for the top variant. It works well if you want a sunroof, a 360-degree camera, cruise control and a bigger screen, but can skip ADAS, ventilated seats and V2L.
