Oben Electric has launched the Rorr Evo, a new sporty electric commuter in India. It is priced at Rs 1,24,999, but for the first 10,000 customers, the introductory price is just Rs 99,999 (both prices are effective ex-showroom). The booking amount of the bike is set at Rs 777, with deliveries starting June 2026.
It is the sportiest-looking motorcycle from the brand to be launched ever and is slightly more premium than the Oben Rorr range, which includes the Rorr, the Rorr EZ, and the Rorr EZ Sigma.
The Oben Rorr Evo is available in four colours: Neutron Blue, Pulse Red, Magnetic Black, and Photon White. All of these colour schemes also get sporty graphics on the fuel tank, tail section and underbelly. The bike also gets a futuristic-looking headlamp cowl that has a projector LED unit, and a DRL which looks quite sporty.
It is powered by a 3.4kWh LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) battery pack that drives the mid-mounted electric motor, which is chain-driven and puts out 9kW of peak power, and 250Nm of peak torque. Do note that the torque calculated in electric bikes is instantaneous and not like ICE bikes, where you need to attain a specific rev range.
The claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range is 180km, and the claimed top speed is 110 km/h. The battery is also warranted for 8 years, which is quite a significant move. Also, the 0-40kmph time is just 3seconds, which is quite fast. For chagrin, the bike comes with three modes: Oben Port, Oben Plug, and Oben Net.
The bike is built on the brand’s ARX frame, and uses a telescopic fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock suspension setup. Disc brakes at both ends, with Unified Braking Assist (UBA), which is essentially a combined braking system, takes care of the stopping power.
The bike comes with a 5-inch TFT instrument console that provides all the necessary information and even has turn-by-turn navigation. The console has four colour themes and four riding modes: Havoc, City, Eco and the new SmartIQ, which is an AI-enabled riding mode that optimises the bike’s performance in real-time, increasing range by up to 15%. The bike also gets fall alerts and connected features via the Oben app. It has 10 litres of combined storage, of which 6 litres is underseat, and the remaining 4 litres are in the tank pod.
With its price tag, the bike rivals the Revolt RV400 and the Matter Aera. With this move, the brand wants to target young buyers who want a stylish motorcycle that is easy on the pocket as well. With the price tag it is offered at, the Rorr Evo makes for an immense value-for-money motorcycle.
