TVS has discontinued the iQube S in India. The brand has silently taken down the variant from its official website. The iQube S variant sat between the standard TVS iQube and the premium TVS iQube ST variants. It was priced at Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
The TVS iQube S was offered with the same 3.5kWh battery pack that comes in the TVS iQube standard. It had a claimed range of around 145km, and a claimed top speed of 78kmph. Other features it had included a 7-inch TFT display, navigation, all-LED lighting, and
Why Has It Been Discontinued?
While the brand has not listed the details for this move yet, we think it has been done to make the variant lineup clearer. The brand already has a variant of the standard iQube that comes with the 3.5kWh battery pack with the same claimed range and features, so this variant could be discontinued to push for sale of the standard one.
What It Means For The Buyer?
With the iQube S being discontinued now, buyers are left with just the standard and the premium ST variants. Here’s the full price list of the latest variant lineup:
| TVS iQube variant | Battery Pack Capacity | Latest ex-showroom price |
| TVS iQube Standard | 2.2kWh | Rs 1,12,387 |
| 3.1kWh | Rs 1,21,994 | |
| 3.5kWh | Rs 1,33,048 | |
| TVS iQube ST | 5.3kWh | Rs 1,77,643 |
Do note that this is the effective ex-showroom price in Bengaluru, and includes the Rs 5,000 PM e-Drive subsidy, except for the TVS iQube ST 5.3kWh variant.
Our Opinion
We think that by discontinuing the iQube S, the brand has not only simplified the variant lineup but also made it clearer and more focused to choose for the buyer. Also, with this move, the brand might give the buyers fewer choices but better-defined ones.
