Omega Seiki Mobility has officially stepped into India’s personal electric vehicle segment with the launch of its first high-speed electric scooter, the Vextra, priced at ₹99,900. Until now, the company was mainly known for commercial EVs. With Vextra, the company is turning its attention to everyday riders, offering an electric scooter meant for regular city travel at a more accessible price. The timing makes sense, too. More commuters are moving toward electric two-wheelers, mainly to bring down fuel expenses and running costs.
Omega Seiki Vextra Range And Speed
The Vextra offers a claimed range of over 110 km per charge and tops out at 70 kmph, making it well-suited for daily office runs and regular city riding. Charging from 0 to 80 per cent takes around four hours, while a full charge using a home charger takes roughly five hours. For most users, overnight charging should be enough to cover daily travel.
Omega Seiki Vextra Charging And Modes
The scooter offers three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sports. Eco is designed to maximise range, City balances performance and efficiency, and Sports provides quicker acceleration when traffic opens up. The Vextra is also rated to handle inclines of up to 12 degrees, which should help riders on flyovers and sloped parking areas. These settings give riders flexibility depending on road conditions and riding style.
Omega Seiki Vextra Urban-Friendly Features
Instead of loading the scooter with flashy extras, Omega Seiki has focused on everyday usability. The Vextra gets a 3.5-inch colour LCD that shows speed, battery status, and remaining range in real time. Other features include USB charging for mobile devices, reverse parking assist, and optional GSM connectivity. The overall package is clearly aimed at city riders who want convenience and reliability rather than premium add-ons.
Omega Seiki Vextra Retail Expansion Plans
The Vextra will be sold through over 200 dealerships across Tier I, II, and III cities. That wider reach shows Omega Seiki is looking beyond big metros, targeting smaller cities where interest in electric scooters is starting to grow.
Production Capacity Update
Production will take place at Omega Seiki Mobility’s Faridabad facility, which has the capacity to produce 25,000 Vextra units annually. This gives the company enough flexibility to scale output if demand rises in the coming months.
Export Market Focus
Along with selling the scooter in India, Omega Seiki plans to take Vextra to African markets. The company is also working on an electric motorcycle for the Middle East and Africa, signalling bigger overseas plans.
What Comes Next
For Omega Seiki Mobility, Vextra marks a major shift from commercial EVs to personal transportation. With competitive pricing, a usable real-world range, and a growing dealer network, the scooter places the brand directly into India’s crowded electric two-wheeler space.
How well it performs will depend on real-world reliability, service support, and customer experience. If those pieces fall into place, the Vextra could find a solid footing among urban commuters looking for an affordable electric alternative.
