Oben Electric has teased a new model on their Instagram handle. The new bike will be launched on April 30, 2026, and the brand claims it to be the boldest one yet. It is also expected that the bookings of the bike will start on the launch day itself, and the amount could be somewhere between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000. The Oben Electric’s current lineup starts at Rs 99,999 and goes up to Rs 1,29,999 (both prices are effective ex-showroom), so this bike is expected to be priced above this range.
The teaser shows the bike’s aggressive headlamp, which seems to be a centered projector unit, along with an LED DRL (Daytime Running Lamp) on top of it. Interestingly, this headlamp unit looks just like the TVS Apache RTR 160 range.
While this might be a deviation from the typical retro design approach the brand has, it could work in its favor by attracting more enthusiastic buyers. Also, the bike could be offered as a premium product for those looking to get more performance, range, and features. Being a premium electric bike, Oben might equip it with all the premium hardware, which could include a redesigned frame, inverted fork, disc brakes, and even grippy tyres.

It could be offered in several battery pack variants, along with a bunch of modern connected features that the brand has already deployed in its current lineup, which includes three models: Oben Rorr, Oben Rorr EZ, and the Oben Rorr EZ Sigma. The bike could also be equipped with riding aids like regenerative braking, an ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and even a traction control system.
In our opinion, the brand first established itself in the commuter segment and is now trying to enter the premium electric bike market with the product, but it will definitely face tough competition from the likes of Ultraviolette and Matter, both of which are established premium brands. At the top of this segment sits the recently launched Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6.
