The recently reported spy shots, deemed the upcoming Tata Avinya test mule, reveal a lot of design attributes that indicate otherwise; the camouflaged vehicle seems to be the Chery Exeed Exlantix ET. The spy shots taken in India can be an indication of an India-specific strategy that aligns with the launch of the Chery Exeed Exlantix ET in the latter part of 2027. The pictures referred to by media houses look identical to the Exeed Exlantix ET, which can step into India.

The windshield’s blacked-out covering where the IRVM sits also looks identical to the one featured on the Exeed Exlantix ET.

From the sides, what is said to be a Tata Avinya test mule features a much longer wheelbase with short overhangs; this abandons its conceptually known MPV-Crossover design expectations. The gently sloping roofline with coupe-like construction slopes into an aggressive dual-level spoiler on the Avinya concept. But the Exeed Exlantix ET has a simple roof-level spoiler, and the side section integrates a glass area on the pillar with a smooth, contoured design and no aggressive elements.

The Rear Section | More Differences: 

At the rear, the section looks closer to the design attributes of the LED taillight that resembles the Chery Exeed Exlantix ET more than the Tata Avinya; the dual curved horizontal lining of the brake light element looks closer to the production spec Exeed Exlantix ET’s taillight design configuration. Moreover, from the spy shots, it feels more like the Chery Exeed Exlantix ET than the Tata Avinya.
