Mahindra BE 6 Gets An Improved Dashboard Setup
One of the major design upgrades will include a new dashboard architecture:
Bye Bye Halo-Loop: The wrapped-around Halo-like design of the cockpit, isolating the driver area, will be redesigned to feature a much more user-friendly and more conventional layout. The new dashboard will ensure improved ergonomics to enhance user appeal.
Passenger Ergonomics: The now-present Halo-like architecture restricts co-driver or passenger access to the centrally equipped charging pad, USB Type-C charging ports, and single cup-holder placement. The new design will feature a more conventional central dashboard layout for better co-driver accessibility, equipped with twin cupholders, storage spaces, and charger placements.
Mahindra BE 6 Triple Screen Layout: What To Expect?
The current twin-screen layout will make way for a triple-screen setup, similar to the ones featured in the Mahindra XEV 9e and XEV 9s.
Dedicated Passenger Screen: The placement of a dedicated passenger screen enhances the overall user appeal, featuring media controls and application streaming, all without being a cause of driver distraction. This triple-display layout is expected to feature in top-tier trims. Nevertheless, it remains unconfirmed whether this mentioned screen layout will feature in lower variants.
Fresh New Upholstery Colour | Black And Tan?
The brand is working on replacing the black and grey-themed cabin upholstery and elements with a black and tan-themed dual-tone colour usage; this is meant to offer a much more roomy or airy feel while lending the vehicle a much more premium and sporty appeal.
Conclusion | Will The Update Affect Pricing?
With segment competitors such as the Tata Sierra EV and the Hyundai Creta EV taking the market by storm with significant presence, adding a seamless triple-screen layout and fixing the current dashboard architecture is a strategy to enhance the BE 6’s appeal and continue to compete fiercely. Nevertheless, a minor pricing adjustment is expected with the upgrades, which would be justified for the extra equipment. As of now, the Mahindra BE 6 rolls off the showroom with a price tag starting from Rs 18.90 lakh, ranging up to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
