As mentioned in the above table, the GLA 250 and 250 Plus variants of the Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle feature a single motor mounted on the rear axle. It makes 224 hp and 272 hp of maximum power, respectively. Meanwhile, torque remains the same; it is precisely 335 Nm. The top-spec GLA 350 has a dual-motor, AWD setup, which produces 260 kW (354 hp) and a staggering 515 Nm of torque.

Unlike the predecessors, the 3rd-gen Mercedes-Benz GLA comes with EV-first platform engineering rather than adapting from an ICE counterpart, which helps it enhance performance:
800-volt EV architecture: The latest GLA comes with 320 kW DC fast-charging capacities, ensuring a range of around 270 km in just 10 minutes of recharging. That said, AC charging power is stated to be 22 kW. Meanwhile, the company is working towards developing and launching a 71 kWh battery capacity variant, which is slated for launch in early 2027.

The Fascia: The new GLA EV comes with a bolder appeal, featuring muscular styling elements. The multi-strip LED elements provide the GLA a much more futuristic appeal. The tristar headlight integration is a unique touch, complemented by angled LED elements, giving the vehicle a butch look. The sloping bonnet with contours adds to the bold styling approach.
The Side Profile: The Mercedes-Benz GLA EV features sporty and aerodynamic alloy wheel integrations available in sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches. Compared to the previous generation, the new GLA EV is longer by 153 mm, wider in size by 39 mm and longer in stance, with a wheelbase measuring 61 mm (more than the previous gen).

The interior section boasts all-black-themed elements, which offer a premium or luxury appeal. The cabin also features multiple technological integrations that make it superb in appearance and user appeal. This includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, which is informative, a 14-inch infotainment display and a dedicated 14-inch passenger display. This triple-screen layout is offered as an optional tech, while the standard setup finds a glass pane with illuminated star treatments.
To further meet the GLA’s muscular design approach, Mercedes-Benz has incorporated a chunky 3-spoke steering wheel with the use of physical switchgear.
