Tata Motors has announced a price hike of up to 1.5% across its electric vehicle lineup. The revised prices will come into effect from July 1, 2026. According to the brand, the price increase has been done to partially offset rising input costs and to lower the currently sustained inflationary pressure. Tata says that the brand has been absorbing a significant chunk of this price increase, but now, a part of it has to be passed down to the electric car buyers.
All Tata Electric Cars To Be Affected
The price revision will affect Tata Motors’ electric as well as ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) cars. This includes popular models such as the 2026 Tata Tiago EV, Tata Nexon EV, Tata Punch EV, Tata Curvv EV, Tata Harrier EV, and Tata Tigor EV. along with other combustion engine models like the 2026 Tata Tiago, Tata Altroz, Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, Tata Curvv, Tata Harrier and the Tata Safari. The exact increase will vary depending on the model and variant you choose to buy. Here’s a list of the current Tata electric car prices as of June 2026:
| Tata Electric Car | Price (In Rs) |
| 2026 Tata Tiago EV | Rs 6.99-9.99 lakh |
| Tata Tigor EV | Rs 12.49-13.75 lakh |
| Tata Punch EV | Rs 9.69-12.59 lakh |
| Tata Nexon EV | Rs 12.49-17.29 lakh |
| Tata Curvv EV | Rs 16.99-19.19 lakh |
| Tata Harrier EV | Rs 21.49-28.99 lakh |

Why This Price Hike?
Due to the current tension in geopolitical conditions, automotive manufacturers have been dealing with higher raw material costs, repeated equipment price fluctuations and supply-chain issues since February 2026. The brand had actually warned that these global uncertainties could continue to impact Tata Motors’ profitability, eventually leading to periodic price revisions.
What We Think
By implementing a relatively modest price increase, it seems that the brand is trying to increase profits by a small margin without affecting the customers a lot. While this might seem a small hike for budget car buyers, for people opting for higher variants, the amount will contribute to a significant hike when considering on-road prices.
