VinFast, a car manufacturer from Vietnam, has begun shipping its first two electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7. The company is delivering these vehicles to customers who pre-ordered them. Shipping started shortly after the official launch in September 2025, with initial deliveries going to cities such as Kochi and Jaipur. The electric vehicle market in India is highly competitive, and this represents the Vietnamese brand’s entry, fulfilling its early customer orders.
Delivery Begins Now
VinFast had marked the official launch of the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India back in September 2025. The very next month, they started the delivery of products. The first beneficiaries of this delivery process are the buyers in the cities mentioned earlier, such as Kochi and Jaipur. The fast start of deliveries here quite evidently shows VinFast’s intention to capture the market at the earliest.
Pricing and Variants
The VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 have been set at a price that is competitive, which will allow them to gain a stronghold in the luxury electric SUV segment. The two cars are sold in different variants with various performance levels corresponding to the prices. The smallest VF 6 is priced at ₹16.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and the larger VF 7 starts at ₹20.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

VF6 Power, Range
The Vinfast VF6, the lowest model in the lineup, has a battery pack with a capacity of 59.6 kWh. Two options are available:
- Earth Variant: This indicates a maximum output of 174.3 hp and a range of 468 km certified by ARAI.
- Wind Variant: It gives an output of 201 hp but has a slightly lower range of 463 km. The VF6 comes with all-LED projector headlamps with automatic levelling, a glass roof, keyless entry, and a strong safety package with 7 airbags as standard features.
VF7 Bigger Specs
The VF 7 is the stronger version of the two, and it comes with the choice of either a 59.6 kWh or a 70.8 kWh battery. The top-end variants VF 7 Sky and Sky Infinity are equipped with the larger 70.8 kWh battery and a performance-oriented All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system that generates impressive torque figures reaching 500 Nm. The VF 7 also comes with luxurious features such as a coloured Head-Up Display (HUD) projection, heated ORVMs with memory functions, and regular lighting elements.
Safety and Tech
The VF 6 and VF 7 have a lot of safety and convenience technology. The extensive safety equipment comprises ABS, EBD, Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and a total of 7 airbags as standard. Among the convenience features available in both models are a 360-degree Surround View Monitor (SVM), cruise control, different drive and regenerative braking modes, and full connected car technology.
