VinFast Launches VF6 and VF7 Electric SUVs in India

VinFast has launched the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India, offering advanced safety features, long-range batteries, and competitive pricing.

Vietnam’s VinFast has officially launched its electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, in India. The launch was announced today, with bookings having already commenced, and deliveries are expected very shortly. The vehicles are being assembled locally at VinFast’s new manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

VinFast VF7: The Premium Electric SUV

The VinFast VF7 has been categorized as a premium electric SUV with a starting price of ₹20,89,000. It features a glass panoramic roof with a curtain for enhanced comfort. The vehicle is capable of 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, with a claimed MIDC range of 532 km, all underpinned by a highly advanced all-wheel-drive system. Inside, the large 12.9-inch display is complemented by ventilated seats.

VinFast VF6: A Compact Urban EV

The VinFast VF 6 is the brand’s more compact model, with a price of ₹16,49,000. Powered by a 59.6 kWh battery, it shares many features with the larger VF7, including a 12.9-inch touch display and ventilated seats. It now comes with a warranty for the battery of 7 years or 2 lakh km.

  • Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: Both include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and auto emergency braking.
  • Warranty: The VF7 comes with a battery warranty for 10 years, while the VF6 has it for 7 years, both for 2 lakh kilometers.

What do the Leaders Have to Say?

The leadership of VinFast sees India not only as an important market but also as a global business center for foreign expansion beyond mere sales in the domestic territory. The philosophy is not merely to sell products but to actually work towards building a bona fide “Made-in-India” EV ecosystem, starting with a brand-new manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.

The VF 6 and VF 7 are being pitched as premium yet accessible priced. The company believes that high-quality product offerings, robust after-sales service solutions, and an extensive network comprising charging and recycling solutions together will ultimately win over the discerning Indian customer, thereby establishing long-standing credence in the mind of the customer in a fast-changing environment.

Conclusion

With the VF6 and VF7, VinFast has entered the Indian EV market with style. The premium electric SUV segment offers an attractive mix of price, design, and technology. The VF6 small SUV is aimed at city driving and families, while the VF7 is VinFast’s top-tier model in India, built for performance and luxury.

This commitment is further reinforced by free charging at VGreens stations until July 2028. Therefore, establishing a comprehensive ecosystem that includes manufacturing, marketing, and infrastructure positions VinFast as a strong competitor in the growing electric mobility market in India.
