India’s electric scooter revolution is moving fast, and by 2026, we’re set to see some truly exciting new launches. From popular brands like Ola, Yamaha, and TVS to brands like Vespa and Ultraviolette, the next wave of upcoming electric scooters will bring a strong mix of performance, style, and innovation.

In this blog, we look at the top 8 upcoming electric scooters in India set to launch in 2026, covering their expected prices, key features, and who each model is best suited for.

1) Ultraviolette Tessaract (Expected Price: ₹1.45 Lakh)

First in the list is the Ultraviolette Tesseract, the world’s most advanced electric scooter with a futuristic design inspired by combat helicopters. It was launched in March 2025, and the deliveries are expected to start from the first quarter of 2026. Comes with a starting price of Rs. 1.45 lakh.

The Ultravoilette Tesseract comes in three battery pack options: 3.5 kWh, 5 kWh, and 6 kWh. It has 162 km for the 3.5 kWh, 220 km for the 5 kWh, and 261 km for the 6 kWh battery pack options, a top speed of 125 km/hr, and speeds from 0 to 40 in 2.9 seconds. It generates a peak power of up to 14.91 kW for a 5 and 6-kWh battery pack, and 10 kW for a 3.5-kWh battery pack.

It stands out for its ARAS using a 360-degree radar system and dual dashcams, and an AI-integrated dashcam, making it India’s first scooter with such features. The top features include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, twin LED projector headlamps, floating LED DRLS, a front and rear dashcam, an AI-integrated dashcam, four levels of Dynamic Regeneration, and haptic feedback.

2) Yamaha Aerox E (Expected Price: ₹2.90 Lakh)

The Yamaha Aerox E is the brand’s first electric two-wheeler in India, which has the same sporty design as the petrol Aerox. Aerox-E is likely to cost roughly ₹2.90 lakh ex-showroom, but official pricing has yet to be disclosed, and it is expected to be launched in early 2026.

The Aerox E is powered by a 9.4 kW motor that produces 48 Nm of peak torque. It has a dual-battery setup with a total capacity of 3 kWh, which is built with high-energy cells for improved performance. It gets a certified range of 106 km, although the actual range will be significantly lower. The removable battery can be charged at home, and Yamaha will provide multiple charging options.

The scooter has three ride modes (Eco, Standard, and Power) plus a Boost function for quick acceleration. It also includes a reverse mode to enhance manoeuvrability in tight parking spaces. Key features include a smart key system and a 5-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Traction control and single-channel ABS are included as safety features.

Meanwhile, exact pricing and full specifications are still pending, and the final range and charge time may differ once real-world testing begins.

3) Ather EL01 (Expected Price: Yet to be revealed)

The Ather EL01 is Ather’s upcoming foray into the commuter-friendly electric scooter sector, intended for riders looking for a practical and comfortable EV for everyday use. The brand is expected to reveal its price and launch date soon, and early reports suggest that it will be positioned in the affordable urban-scooter category.

The Ather EL01 has a 3.1 kWh battery pack and a certified riding range of about 158 km on a single charge. The scooter’s peak speed has not yet been revealed, but it is designed for smooth acceleration and reliable city performance. It also has Bluetooth connectivity via its advanced digital instrument cluster.

Ather has introduced useful features including cruise control, hill-hold function, reverse parking aid, OTA updates, USB charging, and smartphone connectivity. These updates make the EL01 a more convenient and family-friendly solution for urban commuters.

4) Vespa Elettrica (Expected Price: ₹90,000)

Vespa, renowned for its timeless style, now enters the electric segment with the Vespa Elettrica. The price of a Vespa Elettrica varies by region. The upcoming model in India is projected to start at ₹90,000 ex-showroom. Some sources suggest a higher price of roughly ₹1.70 lakh for a specific variant.

The Vespa Elettrica, with its round headlamp, curved apron, contrast-colour vents, and precisely designed panels, maintains classic Vespa style within the electric category. It also has alloy wheels, a 4.3-inch digital display, Bluetooth connectivity, and a dedicated reverse mode. The Elettrica is powered by a 4 kW brushless DC motor that produces an amazing 200 Nm of torque. It has a riding range of up to 100 kilometres on a single charge and takes about four hours to charge fully.

It’s one of the most stylish premium EV scooters available. The key question, however, is whether it will be launched in India. The current estimated launch date for the Vespa Electric Scooter in India is March 2026.

5) Ola S1 Sport (Expected Price: ₹1.5 Lakh)

The Ola S1 Pro Sport electric scooter starts at ₹1,49,999 and features an aerodynamic design. It was already introduced on August 15, 2025, and the deliveries are set to begin in January 2026.

It boasts custom-built safety and tech upgrades and stands out as one of Ola’s sportiest models. It gets design upgrades like a revised apron with an ADAS-supporting camera, a new seat, carbon-fibre fender, carbon-fibre grab rail, and aero windshield. Built on an all-new 4680-type battery.

It has an in-house-built ferrite motor that generates 16 kW of peak power and 71 Nm of torque. The 5.2 kWh battery has a top speed of 152 kmph, accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 2 seconds, and has an IDC range of 320 km. The scooter runs on MoveOS 6 and has 14-inch wheels.

The S1 Sport offers improved features but is also more expensive. The real-world range, charging time, and long-term battery performance may differ based on use.

6) Suzuki e-Access (Expected Price: ₹1 Lakh)

The Suzuki e-Access is intended for daily commuters who require an efficient and reliable electric scooter. It is identical to the Access 125, the petrol variant. The Suzuki e-Access is set to launch in India before the end of this year, with an ex-showroom pricing starting at roughly ₹1.00 Lakh.

The scooter generates 4.1 kilowatts of power and 15 Nm of torque. It has a range of 95 kilometres (according to AIS 040) and maintains consistent performance even as the battery charge decreases. The SDMS-e system allows for three ride modes and regenerative braking.

It will be offered in three colours: Metallic Matt Black with Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White with Matt Grey, and Pearl Jade Green with Matt Grey.

Suzuki uses LFP batteries in the e-Access, which are safer and last far longer than standard NMC cells. They have improved durability, heat resistance, and a longer lifespan, and the battery is housed in a sealed box inside the frame, having undergone extensive testing for water, crush, and temperature to ensure its suitability for Indian roads.

7) Yamaha EC06 (Expected Price: ₹1.5 Lakh)

The latest launch by Yamaha, the EC-06, is a unique maxi-style electric scooter that will hit the Indian market in 2026. It is expected to be both practical and stylish and will be launched in India in early 2026, with an estimated price range of ₹1,50,000 to ₹1,60,000.

It comes with a fixed 4 kWh battery pack with a verified range of 160 kilometres and is powered by a 4.5 kW mid-mounted motor with a peak output of 6.7 kW. Charging-wise, the home charge takes approximately 9 hours using a regular plug.

The EC-06 offers a basic feature set, including an LCD rather than a TFT. However, it features a built-in telematics unit with a SIM card for real-time connectivity and scooter monitoring. It also has three ride modes, a reverse mode, and a big 24.5-litre under-seat storage capacity. Safety-wise, it gets disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, telescopic front forks, and twin rear shock absorbers.

8) TVS Orbiter (Expected Price: ₹99,900)

The TVS Orbiter is the brand’s third electric scooter in India, priced at ₹99,900. It is positioned as a practical urban scooter that is suited for both young riders and families. TVS is accepting online bookings for the scooter, which will compete directly with the Ather Rizta.

Large LED lighting, a tiny windscreen, and smoothly curved body panels add to its futuristic look. TVS claims a riding range of 158 kilometres on a single charge. It has a 3.1 kWh battery pack, although exact charging times and fast-charging capability are yet to be announced. The scooter has a full digital display and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Orbiter also has cruise control, hill-hold assist, and reverse parking assist. Standard features include OTA updates, USB charging, and support for smartphone apps. It comes in six colours: Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper.
