JSW MG Motor India’s upcoming Hector Hawk EV, was spotted testing on Indian roads, another glimpse of the brand’s next all-electric SUV. The heavily camouflaged test mule is most likely based on the Wuling Starlight 560 EV, which is already sold in international markets.
The latest spy shots indicate that development is underway and ahead of its expected India launch. The model is expected to become one of MG’s flagship electric SUVs and will sit above the Windsor EV in the brand’s domestic lineup.
What Do The Spy Shots Reveal?
Although the SUV is heavily camouflaged, a few details are visible clearly. The front end gets a closed-off grille, confirming that this is the all-electric version rather than the plug-in hybrid model. Other elements include vertically stacked LED lighting, roof rails, 5-spoke alloy wheels, flush-looking body surfaces and a charging port mounted on the rear quarter panel. Compared to the current Hector, the upcoming Hector Hawk EV comes with a cleaner, modern design that aligns with MG’s latest models.

MG Hector Hawk EV Expected Powertrain
While the brand has not confirmed its specifications, the international Starlight 560 EV is offered with a 69.2 kWh battery pack paired, connected to, a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW (201 hp) and 310 Nm. It’s claimed the CLTC range is around 530 km. The India-spec version could receive revisions to its battery or equipment, but official specifications are yet to be announced by the brand.

The international-spec model comes equipped with several modern features that will likely make their way to the Indian version. These include a 12.8-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, powered & ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity, an ADAS suite and six airbags. But, for the India spec, these could be nerfed a little.
