Performance & Powertrain
- The dual-motor AWD layout generates 510 PS (approx. 503 bhp) and a peak torque of 725 Nm, driving all 4 wheels.
- The 77 kWh ultra-thin CATL battery provides a MIDC-certified range of up to 580 km per charge.
- This is MG’s fastest production car yet, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.
Exterior & Design Highlights
The MG Cyberster EV brings back classic British roadster styling with a new electric twist:
- The design is low-slung, with a long bonnet, short tail, and aerodynamic foundations (drag coefficient: 0.269 Cd).
- Retractable soft-top, signature scissor-style doors, and 20-inch alloy wheels all contribute to its striking presence on the road.
- LED projector headlights, sweeping DRLs, arrow-shaped taillamps, and a full-width LED light bar across the rear
- Comes in four dual-tone shades: nuclear yellow/black, flare red/black, Andes grey/red, and modern beige/red.
Interior and Technical Features
The cockpit faces the driver and features three curved displays: a 10.25-inch digital driver’s screen, two 7-inch auxiliary screens, and an additional 7-inch device on the center console. The vehicle has advanced features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bose-branded sound system, vegan leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a 360° camera setup. The safety features include Level 2 ADAS, a driver-monitoring system, four airbags, electronic stability control, and an electronic differential lock.
Positioning and Marketing Context
This EV joins the MG Select premium dealership network, alongside the recently launched MG M9 luxury MPV, establishing MG’s shift into aspirational EV territory. The Cyberster’s ex-showroom pricing of over ₹70 lakh places it in a unique niche in India, with no direct EV rival at this price-performance combination. Bookings have a 3.3 kW portable charger, a 7.4 kW wall-box charger, and installation services for the stated price.
MG’s Vision
Anurag Mehrotra, the Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, stated: “The Cyberster is engineered for performance and built to be remembered… Many people had daydreams about roadsters. MG Cyberster EV brings that dream to life, combining the freedom of the open road with the conscience of an electric future.”
