Ampere Electric is providing battery safety through a new Smart Battery Management System (BMS) & a 5-year warranty, along with a revamp of the showroom at Bengaluru.
Ampere Electric, part of Greaves Electric Mobility, has been driving the electric two-wheeler market in India. The company has launched a new Smart Battery Management System (BMS) that promises better battery safety and performance. The company is also putting the finishing touches on revamping its flagship showroom in Bengaluru.
The new battery system shortly saw sales shoot up by 53% at the start of 2025, whereas the new Bangalore showroom was recently refurbished. The battery technology has since undergone trials across India, and an assembly line for the battery is being planned in Tamil Nadu. The launch of the new showroom identity took place in Bengaluru, with the plan to roll it out throughout India.
Advanced Battery Technology
Ampere has built an advanced BMS with nine important features integrated with LFP tech. Incidentally, the system improves the safety and performance parameters of the electric vehicle. This strategic move has seen a 53% year-on-year increase in sales by early 2025.
The company is offering an extended warranty of 5 years or 75,000 km for the battery, marking the highest confidence in the new technology. Both the system and LFP batteries have undergone rigorous testing in a 10,000 km run from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The company is planning to set up its own dedicated battery assembly line in Tamil Nadu through this new facility by the year 2027, which it believes is timely, considering the rising demand for batteries.
