Tata Sierra EV Expected to Arrive in India This October 2025

Tata Sierra EV will be built on the company’s innovative Acti.ev+ technology, which also powers the Harrier EV.
Tata Motors intends to relaunch its renowned Sierra brand, this time as a fully electric SUV. The highly anticipated Tata Sierra EV is expected to make its debut around Diwali 2025, providing Indian customers with a blend of nostalgia and new technology.
Based on Tata’s EV platform
The Tata Sierra EV will be built on the brand’s innovative Acti.ev+ platform, which is the same platform that powers the Harrier EV. Higher-end vehicles may include dual-motor all-wheel drive, while standard trims may have rear-wheel drive.

The Sierra EV can accommodate five people, with the option of a four-person lounge. The exact charging times are yet to be revealed, but the brand is expected to equip the Sierra EV with fast-charging features, allowing for quicker recharges than standard charging methods.

It is also anticipated that the EV will retain the original model’s iconic boxy look while integrating modern elements such a LED light bars, flat door handles, and large alloy wheels. The signature floating rear window design will also be back, combining traditional looks with modern technology. The SUV gets a luxurious interior with:

- Level 2 ADAS technology
The Sierra EV is set to be released in October 2025, just ahead of Diwali, and the booking & delivery are expected to begin shortly following the official debut.
