Mahindra Formula E Electric

27th November, Bengaluru –Mahindra has unveiled the BE 6 Formula E Edition, a one-of-a-kind electric SUV inspired by motorsports at the “Scream Electric” event in Bangalore. The vehicle is a tribute to the company’s support for Formula E racing and stylistically brings the track to an EV for public use. The special edition sells starting with a price tag of Rs 23.69 lakh (ex-showroom), with bookings opening on January 14, 2026, offering a totally different visual complexion.

Aggressive New Style

The most noticeable exterior updates are the front and side view changes, along with the new racing graphic design. The vehicle will be sold in multiple colour variations, such as Black with Red accents, which looks like the livery of the Formula E racing team. The Formula E Edition gets 20-inch alloy wheels and brand logos like the FIA-Formula E plaque.

Sporty Cabin Details

The Formula E Edition is the same shape; however, the colours are black and orange in the cabin. The use of orange on the door pads and the console, together with the Formula E Edition plaque, reveals motor sports and gives a good vibe. The interiors are pretty much the same as those of other BE 6 but with more sportiness. The spacious, strong feature list is an added advantage, and the modern and comfortable experience is guaranteed.

Key equipment includes:

  • Dual 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and the digital instrument cluster
  • A panoramic moonroof
  • A premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system is one of the key equipment available.
  • The BE 6 is also equipped with safety features, including 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a 360-degree camera.
  • Powered driver seat & dual-zone climate control
  • Ambient lighting, rear AC vents, and a wireless charger
  • 60:40 split rear bench and a functional frunk with a drain hole and light

Safety Features

The BE 6 Formula E Edition is designed with an uncompromising approach towards safety and has achieved a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP. The car features a complete Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite.

The salient safety and tech features are:

  • Safety: 6 airbags, ESC, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera.
  • Braking: All-around disc brakes and electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
  • Cabin Tech: A premium Harman Kardon sound system with 16 speakers and dual 12.3-inch screens for the dashboard and infotainment.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition has also been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP.

Power and Range

From a mechanical standpoint, the Formula E Edition is identical to the standard BE 6 Pack 3 variant in terms of powertrain specifications. The vehicle, which is based on Mahindra’s INGLO electric platform, promises exceptional performance along with impressive range numbers.

SpecificationDetail
Battery Pack79 kWh
Claimed Range682 km
Power Output180 kWh
Torque380 Nm

The platform is compatible with 180kW DC fast-charging, which enables the battery to be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes under ideal conditions.

Price and Booking

The BE 6 Formula E Edition is priced at a premium compared to the standard variants, which is justified by its limited-run status and the exclusive design elements it incorporates. It comes in two main variants:

VariantPrice (ex-showroom)
FE2Rs 23.69 lakh
FE3Rs 24.49 lakh

Potential customers can start their vehicle configuration on December 14, 2025. The official booking starts on January 14, 2026, with the first customer delivery scheduled for February 14, 2026.
