Tata Nexon EV Launched with ADAS, Priced at ₹17.29 Lakh

Tata Motors launches the Nexon EV with ADAS, along with safety features and new variants, priced attractively at ₹17.29 lakh.

Tata Motors has introduced an updated version of its very popular Nexon EV, which now comes with a Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite. The new model is offered in three trims at an ex-showroom price starting from ₹17.29 lakh. This is a significant step taken by the company to enhance the safety credentials of its best-selling electric SUV and maintain its lead in the Indian EV market.

Advanced Safety and Technology Features

The new Nexon EV variants feature numerous ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features designed to enhance both the safety and convenience of the driving experience. The ADAS offers:

  • Lane Keep Assist and Lane Centering System
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • High Beam Assist

Other premium attributes offered with the updated Nexon EV include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ambient lighting and rear sun blinds. Thus, the Dark and Red Dark editions lend the vehicle a sleek black-out treatment with thematic interiors. It also lends V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capabilities.

With the new Nexon EV, the upgrade is not just an engineering one; new design elements and variants are being brought on as well. The ADAS-equipped trims, branded Empowered +A 45, are now offered in the much-desired Dark and Red Dark editions. The editions are distinct with all-black stylish lines. The inside can be all black or black and red. This exclusivity and premium touch make the vehicle feel more exclusive and high-end. It will definitely excite customers who are more into design and modern tech.

Market Position and Competition

With the Level 2 ADAS suite, Tata Motors has cemented the Nexon EV’s lead in the segment. These features, therefore, give Nexon EV the ability to go one-on-one with rival products that had previously been ahead in terms of technology.

A competitive pricing strategy adopted for the ADAS-equipped variant has made these advanced safety features available to the mega-market, setting a new norm for sub ₹20 lakh electric SUVs in India. This move will ensure the continued presence of the Nexon EV as a leader in a burgeoning and very competitive landscape.
