Electric bikes are becoming more popular in India with the recent launches like Ola Roadster Series, Ultraviolette F77 & X47, and Revolt RV Series. Electric bikes are no longer an uncharted territory; they have proven their practicality, performance, and overall riding experience.
According to an article published on Indiatimes, the adoption of electric bikes in India can propel up to 30% of the overall bike sales by 2030. Currently, the adoption rate is less than 1% of the total electric bike sales. This gap, which will be filled over the next 5-6 years, clearly shows how electric bikes will make a huge impact in the market.
While electric bikes evolve and gain wider acceptance, shifting from petrol bikes to electric bikes now can be a smart move, which not only helps you save fuel and operational costs but also enables you to have a better riding experience and access to features like ADAS, Reverse Modes, and Connected Tech that you don’t get in a petrol bike.
In this post, we discuss the 8 upcoming electric bikes in India (2026) worth considering if you are planning to buy an electric bike for yourself. We will also help you understand if these bikes are suitable for you and your needs.

Our view about the Ultraviolette Shockwave:
Ultraviolette Shockwave is our inner child’s dream bike. For someone who loved the Yamaha RX or the Suzuki Shogun, this bike will bring a ‘Deja Vu’ moment for sure. We love how Ultraviolette is going beyond what’s already there in the market and designing a bike like Shockwave that is very versatile, ergonomic and affordable, especially for that niche rider audience.
If you are someone who does frequent off-road rides, likes enduro design or even needs a fun-to-ride second bike, Ultraviolette Shockwave is worth considering.

Ola Diamondhead was first introduced as a concept bike in August 2023. At the Sankalp event in August 2025 this year, the second near-production model was showcased. This bike is an Electric Superbike that promises the most advanced features, tech and most importantly, performance like no other bike in the market.
The bike looks like something that landed directly from the future; every angle and every curve make it feel extraterrestrial. While the bike itself is a marvel in design, the added tech and promising performance metrics make it even more special.

Ola Diamondhead is still a concept bike and is not ready for production or trial runs. The expected launch of the bike is mid-2027.
Our view about the Ola Diamondhead:
Ola Diamondhead is a very interesting and futuristic concept that Ola is banking on. It brings that Tesla-esque design or the concept that not everybody will like, but will get the hang of it when it hits the roads. Something similar to the Tesla Cybertruck.
The aerodynamics, build, performance and integrated tech promised with this bike are really something that we have liked the most in this bike. Again, seeing something and owning something is a whole different story.
If you are interested in a very futuristic-looking bike or need tech that’s beyond everything else in the market, Ola Diamondhead is the name you are looking for. While the launch and deliveries are still 2 years away, it is worth waiting for if you are really into the Diamondhead concept.

Our view about the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6:
Flying Flea C6 will be a huge launch and a great test for the Royal Enfield, especially with the kind of followship they have. Being the most popular and a dominant bike brand for over a decade in the 400+ cc segment amongst petrol bikes in India.
The bike looks lean and lightweight, the opposite of what a RE bike is known for. Being an electric bike, it will miss that signature exhaust note, the thug and vibrations, something that riders love about the RE bikes and the tech like a completely digital instrument cluster, refined electric motor can be a question mark. We are excited and at the same time curious to see how the Flying Flea C6 will perform and how it will be received by the Royal Enfield community.

Ola Adventure is expected to be launched at the Sankalp event in August 2026 and should be available for deliveries in Q1 2027. There is no official confirmation from Ola regarding this yet.
Our view about the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6:
Ola Adventure, from the looks of it and what we have seen, seems like a winner for Ola that can penetrate a larger market. It has everything spec’d out to provide everyday bike riders and young users to choose it over the other options.
The bike stands tall and looks futuristic, carrying the same clean, minimalistic design language we see in the Roadster series. Ola Adventure, if it can deliver a performance, handling and range along with modern features like ADAS, traction control, dashcam and good build quality, can be a great option overall for the buyers in India.
We are happy to see how this bike is being perceived at the design level. It has a good potential to become a top seller for Ola in the bike market if they pull the strings right.

Our view about the Ampere Xyber:
The bike looks very promising, and a seems like a winner in terms of offering value for the price point at which it is being offered. We felt the bike had those characteristics that yonder riders desire. While the top speed is limited to 100 kmph, the peak power of 10KW can definitely keep the riders happy on the city roads.
The Ampere Xyber is definitely a value-for-money offering which has the potential to take Ampere to the next level. It has everything checked in terms of what a rider needs – Design, Performance, Battery and Features.

Our view about the Ola Cruiser:
Ola Cruiser is a great addition to Ola’s futuristic product lineup. While the design looks fresh and will stay timeless amongst other bikes in the market, the bike will be accepted by a segment of riders who like the tourer-style and low-seat bikes.
While we feel that the Ola Cruiser will be a comfortable ride for highways and open roads, we are curious when it is ready for test rides to see how it holds up in city traffic and tough terrain conditions. This might be a great bike that will win the likes of a segment of riders, but we still feel the Ola Adventure might have the upper hand in their lineup.
7) Royal Enfield Him-E (Expected Launch: December 2026)

Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric, or the Him-E, is the electric variant of the popular Royal Enfield Himalayan. It is a pure Adventure/Off-road bike that carries the same tall stance, rugged adventure looks and sturdy build suitable for tough terrain riding.
Him-E will be a great addition to Royal Enfield’s electric lineup because of its proven abilities and brand followship it carries. It is expected to feature the best of off-road features like traction control, cruise control, a powerful motor and performance-oriented capabilities. Recently, it was seen in Ladakh along with the next-generation petrol variant, both of which carry an appealing mule look and feel, suggesting they were production-ready.

Our view about the Royal Enfield Him-E:
Him-E will be a great addition to the pool of available electric bikes in India. While the bike itself is focused on Adventure, Touring, and Off-roading, the acceptance of a Royal Enfield bike, especially with the tag of an already popular model like the Himalayan, will attract a larger array of riders.
We feel Royal Enfield Him-E will be a huge success for Royal Enfield and will drive the brand’s future in the Electric Mobility further. We will be excited to try, test and even consider this bike when it is launched.

Our view about the Tork Kratos X:
Kratos X might be a good fit amongst the city commuter bikes. While the bike seems like a good offering amongst the other models offered by Kratos, the practicality and the timing of the launch will decide how effectively it can penetrate the market.
We feel the bike has potential to gain popularity in the affordable, cost-effective segment of the market, targeting riders who look for overall value and no jargon in their bike.
