Statiq, an electric vehicle charging station operator known for its broad coverage, has taken a significant step by partnering with BMW Group India to install a nationwide high-power EV charging network. The collaboration was actually revealed on November 3, 2025, and the project will start right away.
The venture will create a fast charging network along a key north-south highway route in India, spanning 4,000 kilometres from Jammu to Madurai. This project intends to swiftly accelerate India’s electric vehicle transition by tackling range anxiety and making long-distance travel with an electric car smooth and trouble-free for everyone.
High Speed Charging
The main objective of this partnership is to provide a super-fast network of charging stations for electric vehicles. The charging points will consist of rapid chargers with power levels starting with at least 120 kW DC and ranging up to 720 kW. Such high levels of power are very important for the fast supply of energy to the batteries of long-range EVs, which results in a drastic reduction of charging time.
Strategic Highway Corridor
Statiq with BMW Group India is focusing on the development of a charging network for electric vehicles of about 4000 kilometres in length. The route is through the major north-south highway in India, from Jammu in the north to Madurai in the south. To prevent range anxiety for the electric vehicle users who are going to take long trips, the charging stations are going to be placed about every 300–350 kilometres at the most.
Open to All EVs
Statiq is a premium automaker partnership, but the charging network will be developed in a way that all EV users will have access to it, no matter what brand they are driving. The chargers are installed in places that are not only convenient to the drivers but also very easy to find. BMW owners, for instance, will get the most out of the charging network because their myBMW app will directly connect them with the chargers and even show them where these chargers are located.
Expansion Network Plans
Statiq has big plans in the near future, and it is not just going to be limited to charging your electric vehicle, but also making your overall electric vehicle experience better. The company is already present in 70 cities and has made more than 8,000 chargers available. It is predicting an even larger number, up to 20,000, by the year 2026 going forward. The company, through its partnerships with different states and electric vehicle manufacturers and investments in real estate, is pushing in line with India’s national EV mission.
Seamless Digital Experience
One of the main points of the partnership is combining attractive hardware with a user-friendly digital experience. Statiq’s platform comes with all the necessary features for the user’s comfort, such as real-time charger discovery, slot booking, and contactless payments. This integration forms a strong and comfortable charging process that is very critical to the mass consumer acceptance of electric vehicles in India.
