Sony and Honda Mobility officially presented the production-ready Afeela 1 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This joint venture was created to merge Sony’s expertise in software and gaming with Honda’s decades of car manufacturing to build a new kind of high-tech electric vehicle.
Premium Driving Specs
The Afeela 1 is an all-electric sedan with a dual-motor setup that produces 483 horsepower of torque. Power goes to all four wheels, and the 91 kWh battery is expected to deliver around 483 km of range on a full charge. When it’s time to plug in, the EV uses the North American Charging Standard, so it can tap into Tesla Superchargers and charge at speeds of up to 150 kW.
Smart Cabin Design
Step inside, and your attention immediately goes to the massive screen running across the dashboard. It sets the tone for a clean, minimal interior without visual clutter. There are no conventional door handles either. As you walk up with the digital key, the doors open on their own. Behind the scenes, the cabin is packed with 40 sensors and cameras that constantly read the surroundings, enabling Level 3 automated driving that can manage steering and braking on highways by itself.

For safety, the driver can only access these games while the car is parked or charging, but passengers can play throughout the journey.
Global Market Plans
The Afeela 1 will be sold in two variants, the Origin and the high-end Signature, with first deliveries starting in North America in mid-2026. While a confirmed launch for the Indian market has not been announced, the car is expected to start at approximately ₹75 lakh based on current exchange rates. This model is just the beginning for the brand, as they plan to release three different zero-emission vehicles by the end of the decade.
