Ola Electric Mobility Limited has rolled out a new community program called Ola Insiders for its existing riders across India. With over a million customers on the road, the company is now offering benefits tied to upgrades, additional purchases, and referrals. The move formalises engagement with current owners and creates a structured system for loyalty rewards.
Upgrade Benefits
Under the Ola Insiders program, customers with Gen 1 and Gen 2 scooters can upgrade to the latest Gen 3 S1 range or the Roadster motorcycle lineup. The company is offering benefits of up to ₹50,000 on these upgrades. These benefits apply to models powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell variants. The idea is to encourage existing users to move to newer platforms rather than switch brands.
Add-On Purchase Offers & Referral Incentives
The program also covers customers who wish to buy an additional Ola vehicle under the same registered name. In such cases, benefits of up to ₹20,000 are being offered. These include cashback offers and MoveOS software upgrades. The structure appears aimed at promoting multi-vehicle ownership within the same household.
Ola Insiders also includes a referral component. Customers can earn up to ₹5,000 in Ola credits when a referred customer takes delivery of a vehicle. The new customer gets a cashback of ₹1,000. In simple terms, both the existing rider and the new customer benefit from the referral.
Current Product Range
Ola Electric’s lineup currently includes the Gen 3 S1 scooters and the Roadster X motorcycles. In the S1 range, customers can choose between the S1 Pro+ with 5.2 kWh and 4 kWh battery options, and the S1 Pro offered with 4 kWh and 3 kWh packs.
Depending on the version, prices start at ₹1,24,999 and go up to ₹1,90,338. For those looking at more affordable options, the S1 X+ comes with a 4 kWh battery, while the S1 X is available in 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh variants. These are priced between ₹82,999 and ₹1,19,999.
On the motorcycle side, the Roadster X+ is offered with 4.5 kWh and 9.1 kWh battery choices, priced at ₹1,29,999 and ₹1,89,999. The Roadster X is available in 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh versions, with prices starting at ₹99,999 and going up to ₹1,24,999.
Focus on Customer Retention
Through Ola Insiders, the company is trying to keep its current riders engaged, whether that means upgrading to a newer model or adding another vehicle at home. Ola Electric builds its vehicles at its Tamil Nadu facility and follows a direct sales approach across India. The program arrives as the electric two-wheeler market becomes more crowded, putting greater focus on keeping existing customers connected to the brand.
