Chennai-based electric motorcycle startup Raptee.HV has begun large-scale customer deliveries of its T30 electric motorcycle. The rollout marks the company’s shift from years of product development to full commercial operations after more than seven years of research and testing. Deliveries have started in Chennai, which becomes the brand’s first active market with sales and service support already in place.
Chennai First Market
The company confirmed that Chennai will anchor its initial operations. From April 2026, Raptee.HV plans to expand to Bengaluru with a dedicated showroom and authorised service centre. By the end of the year, the company aims to be present across major South Indian state capitals before moving into western India as part of a phased rollout.
Key Specifications
The T30 is built on what the company calls HV-Tec, a high-voltage system usually seen in electric cars. Raptee.HV says this setup is designed to deliver stronger performance and faster charging compared to conventional low-voltage two-wheelers. Using car grade high voltage architecture also allows compatibility with India’s public charging network.
The Raptee.HV T30 features a 5.4 kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery paired with a 22 kW electric motor that produces roughly 70 Nm of torque, offering performance similar to 250–300 cc petrol motorcycles. It accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in approximately 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 135 km/h. The bike’s IDC-estimated range is up to 200 km on a single charge, with a practical daily range around 150 km. It supports CCS2 fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in about 36 minutes using public fast chargers, or roughly 60 minutes on a home AC charger. The battery is covered by an 8-year/80,000 km warranty.
One of the key features of the T30 is its ability to use widely available public charging stations, including those meant for electric cars. This reduces the need for dedicated two-wheeler charging points. The motorcycle also supports a relatively fast home charging option within its category, according to the company.
Pricing Strategy
Raptee.HV has set a competitive price for the T30, targeting performance-oriented internal combustion engine motorcycle customers to encourage them to switch to electric. The T30 is offered in several variants, including the Standard, Pro, and Sport trims, each featuring a unique set of features and performance characteristics. Prices begin at approximately ₹2.49 lakh for the base model, with higher trims incorporating premium components and technological enhancements.
Raptee.HV stated that the T30 platform has been recognised by the Asia Book of Records for achieving the highest average distance covered and the longest distance covered by a production electric motorcycle in India. With deliveries now underway, the focus shifts to execution. How quickly the company scales beyond its first few cities will depend on demand, infrastructure readiness and customer response in the coming months.
