Luxury car brands are slowly letting go of their big petrol engines and moving toward electric power. Even names known for comfort, craftsmanship, and strong performance are now building EVs that aim to deliver the same luxury with fewer emissions.
Bentley is the latest to step into this space, sharing new teaser images of its first all-electric SUV. The images give a glimpse of a modern interior and a slightly more compact design ahead of its official debut in late 2026. This SUV is a key milestone for Bentley as it starts shaping its electric future.
High Tech Cabin
The images show a cabin filled with large screens and modern digital controls that take inspiration from the latest Porsche designs. A big central touchscreen handles most of the car’s functions, while a separate digital display sits behind the steering wheel to show vital driving data. Nonetheless, with all the contemporary electric technology, Bentley has still maintained its iconic physical buttons and properly engineered metal controls to give a classical luxury feeling.
Compact Urban Design
On the outside, the battery-powered SUV is less than 5m long, making it smaller and quicker than the existing Bentayga model. The car has a sporty and modern look distinguished by the smooth, lower profile and bold LED lights, which make it suitable for city driving. It is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) structure that allows for a longer wheelbase and thus more legroom for the passengers than the regular petrol cars.
Fast Charging Speed
Although complete technical details are being kept a secret for now, this non-polluting luxury vehicle should be able to cover more than 370 miles on one charge. It will support industry-leading charging speeds, allowing the battery to add 100 miles of range in just seven minutes. Bentley plans to reveal one new electric or hybrid model every year as part of its updated Beyond100+ strategy.
| Feature | Expected Detail |
| Vehicle Type | Luxury Urban SUV |
| Launch Reveal | Late 2026 |
| Charging Speed | 100 miles in 7 mins |

Sustainable Craftsmanship Focus
Because electric motors are nearly silent, Bentley is focusing heavily on the tactile experience and “digital sound” within the cabin. Engineers are using nearly 13,000 stitches and sustainable leather to ensure the battery-operated model feels like a true Bentley. This shift is part of the brand’s larger goal to offer a mix of electric and hybrid power until at least 2035.
Global Market Strategy
Bentley is aiming this SUV at younger buyers in China and North America who want sustainable luxury without a massive footprint. While a specific launch date for India has not been confirmed, the brand’s growing presence in Mumbai and Delhi suggests the electric model could arrive shortly after its 2027 global delivery start. This first SUV marks the beginning of the “Beyond100+” plan to become a fully sustainable luxury brand.
