Ampere Magnus Grand Launched at ₹89,999 with 118 km Range

Ampere Magnus Grand launched at ₹89,999. The new electric scooter offers 118km range, an LFP battery, and looks stylish for urban commuters.

Described as a family-oriented vehicle with primary considerations given to style and comfort, the Ampere Magnus Grand has entered the Indian market, setting the pattern for others in the fiercely competitive family. The price of Magnus Grand should be approximately. ₹89,990 ex-showroom to give a new meaning to urban commuting for the greater part of the population with its advanced LFP battery technology.

With a potent combination of power, practicality, and peace of mind, this one is going to go a long way in taking Ampere’s share of the electric two-wheeler market even further.

A Quick Sneak Peek

Redefined Design and Aesthetics

Ampere Magnus Grand looks beyond mere functionality into the realm of modern beauty and is a breath of fresh air in the city’s streetscape. It has been built on the design ethos of the more popular Magnus Neo, but with a little more sophistication and refinement.

The scooter is offered in new two-tone colors of Matcha Green and Ocean Blue, with gold-finished badging to add to the elegance. On the other side, the seat has undergone a big change: it is more ergonomically shaped for greater comfort and comes covered with a brown quilted leather that promises reasonable comfort for both rider and pillion in long rides. Then an additional grab rail has been provided to secure the gain.

Performance and Range

The heart of the Magnus Grand is a potent, yet efficient, powertrain.

SpecificationDetails
Battery TypeRemovable 2.3 kWh LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate)
Battery BenefitsLong life cycle, thermal stability, enhanced safety
Claimed Range118 km on a single charge
Motor Type & PowerHub motor with 2.4 kW peak output
Top Speed65 kmph

Enhanced Features for Daily Commutes

Magnus Grand is packed with a plethora of features that make the daily commute stress-free. The rider’s console has undergone an upgrade, wherein it now flaunts a digitized instrument cluster that provides better visibility while displaying all essential information clearly.

For storage, the scooter has quite a large 22 litres of under-seat space, which easily fits the helmet of a rider or a couple of shopping bags. USB charger and reverse mode for tricky parking situations add to the ingenious features that have been incorporated into this scooter. The other added features include three riding modes–Eco, City, and Power–that allow the rider to select a performance level needed for maximum distance or quicker acceleration.

Safety and Durability

Ampere Magnus Grand gives importance to safety and durability, thus ensuring peace of mind for the customer. The world’s strongest dual-frame chassis, 20% stronger than most others, allows an incredible ride of comfort and stability. The 130 mm drum brakes at both ends are coupled with a CBS system that drastically reduces stopping time and hence improves the control of the scooter.

LFP battery technology, being not just safe but durable, warrants an industry-leading guarantee for 5 years or for 75,000 km on the battery. On the other hand, the vehicle is under a comprehensively warranted package for 3 years or 30,000 km, reinforcing the faith of the company in its product’s build quality.

A Strategic Market Play

According to price and specifications, the Ampere Magnus Grand stands neck and neck against the turbulent electric two-wheeler market in India. By offering an advanced LFP battery, a competitive range, comfort, and safety features, all for under ₹90,000, Ampere is directly challenging very serious competition while tapping into a large share of the market.

This move will probably boost Ampere’s market coverage towards making electric scooters popular within the country and set a new benchmark in what consumers can expect from an affordable electric two-wheeler.
